Brigid O’Connor was presented with a Certificate of honour for an outstanding voluntary contribution to the welfare of Munster farmers and their local communities.
Brigid said she “is truly humbled to be nominated by Kerry IFA to walk in the footsteps of such a wonderful volunteer as Paddy Fitzgerald RIP, who was the founder of FBD along with working tirelessly for IFA and his community over many, many years.”
Over the weekend she was also delighted to be among 15 farmers and the only Kerry Farmer selected to join the Farming for Nature Network at an event in the Burren. She hopes that some good opportunities will happen working with this wonderful group of farmers.
She also thanked everyone and the Board of NEWKD for their support.
